ABOUT US

A.P. Esteve Farms

A.P. Esteve Farms was established in 1979. The rich soil, plentiful water supply, and ideal climate of this Northern California location enables us to produce excellent quality. We now have over a thousand acres of both almonds and walnuts. A.P. Esteve Farms has been a long- time grower cooperator with the University of California Cooperative Extension and the University of California Davis.

We are constantly working to improve our farming practices by adopting science-based information and technologies. An example is our use of real-time crop water use (ET) information and measuring orchard water status with a pressure chamber to make informed decisions on when to irrigate and how much water to apply. We engage in on-farm field research to contribute to the next generation of farm management tools.

An example is our investment into variable rate irrigation methods, automated tree stress sensors, and aerial imagery. We have also opened our farm and processing plant to visiting students, scientists, and other guests by hosting farm tours and field days. Examples include hosting irrigation and nitrogen management field days for area growers and welcoming visiting participants in the annual Principles of Fruit & Nut Tree Growth, Cropping & Management Extension short course offered by UC Davis.
